WiMAX an ultra-high speed technology for internet access

What does this mean?...it means a fast, at lightning speed and reliable connection to the Internet. It will also give greater mobility and flexibility in terms of geographic location when accessing the Internet. Malaysians will now be able to dispose off their modems, no more sitting at the WiFi hotspot or in the stuffy cybercafe. It is an advance and new information technology that will make easy and fast connection to the outside world. Really good news for Internet enthusiasts.
The Malaysian Government has just awarded licences to four Companies to operate the network nation wide.
WiMAX is a technology that enables wireless broadband access to have greater coverage. It will make surfing the Internet at ultra-high speeds and will also provide new and improved Web based services.
One obvious benefit will be that we will be able to pay bills online or play the stock market from anywhere in the country. I suppose this means that even when we are in the middle of the jungle we can still perform those tasks that we usually have to do at the post office or banks.
With this network available, we are also able to enjoy cheaper phone calls made over the Internet.
When watching tv programmes on our hand phone we will get higher resolution. Good news for those who cannot take their eyes away from the movies. You don't have to strain your eye sight from now on.
But the thing that really excites me is that even without fixed phone line, we will still be able to get access to the Internet. Good news to the rural folks like me who aspires to make some bucks doing business in the Internet. Hopefully, my dream to be an Internet millionaire one day will come true thanks to the Malaysian Government.
